These are the first loose-leaf teas I’ve brewed from a wild mountain region, and the spring harvest really comes through in how smooth and mellow the cup is. The pearls are tightly rolled but open up nicely, and the misty Yunnan character gives it a depth I haven't found in other blacks.

The leaves unfurl beautifully in the gaiwan, releasing a deep, malty aroma that fills the whole room during that first steeping. Harvested in that misty Yunnan region, it has a smooth, almost creamy finish that I keep coming back to every afternoon.

These little spheres are so dense that two teaspoons barely fit in my gaiwan, yet they keep releasing flavor through a fourth steep. The wild, misty Yunnan region really comes through in the tea's smooth, almost creamy body. This spring harvest is a keeper for slow afternoons.
